Get Involved

All Christians are called and equipped to be involved in the work of the ministry for the building up of Christ's church. There is always plenty of work to be done, from evangelizing to cleaning bathrooms, and no work should be beneath us.
"Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others. Make your own attitude that of Christ Jesus."
Philippians 2:3-5 HCSB

Give of your Time, Gifts, and Talents

  • Talents are God-given, regardless of one's beliefs, and may be used for ministry.

  • Spiritual gifts are abilities given to believers by the Holy Spirit to be used for building up the church and to aid the church in its missions. Spiritual gifts are given as the Holy Spirit wills. Click here to learn more about spiritual gifts.

  • Some ministry work requires no special talent or gift, only a servants heart. All God needs from us is submission and availability.

Ways You Can Help

  • Prayer Warrior - Prayer warriors put a special emphasis on prayer. They pray continually and effectively for others in the manner taught in Scripture. Our church and all of it's work must be covered in prayer.

  • Outreach - Help out with special events such as the Easter Egg Hunt, VBS, or the Fall Festival. Work with KOZ, Celebrate Recovery, or an evangelism group. Go on a mission trip. Help support children in Haiti through "New Missions."

  • Disciple - Be a mentor. We all need a "Paul" (someone to learn from) and a "Timothy" (someone to teach) in our lives.

  • Bible Study Teacher - Allow us to start a new class.

  • Children's Ministry - Join the rotation for Kids Worship or assist with Wednesday night's Missions. Help out with fund raisers, fellowships, or events.

  • Student Ministry - Assist with Wednesday nights, fund raisers, fellowships, or events.

  • Nursery - Join the rotation for Sunday or Wednesday.

  • Join the Creative Arts Ministry or the Praise Team.

  • Kitchen - Help set up and take down tables and chairs, with Sunday breakfasts, or special events such as revival meals.

  • Maintenance - Be available to make needed repairs.

  • Media Ministry - Assist the Music Minister with monitor displays and sound quality.

  • Greeter - Greet people with a smile and a handshake as they arrive. Answer questions, hand out worship guides, and assist those with special needs.

  • Security - Monitor the facility and parking lot.

  • Transportation - Join the rotation of van driving. Help maintain the vans.

  • Staff Aide - Ask a staff member if there is work they can delegate. Encourage them. Build them up. Assist with baptisms, the Lord's Supper, seasonal decor or the Food Pantry.

  • Disaster Relief Team - Help those recovering from disasters.

  • Widow Walk - Help out with the local ministry to widows or maybe start a ministry for widowers.

  • Military - Start a veteran ministry or a military family support group.
